With reference to your letter No. 24598/13 of the 25th

ultimo respecting the proposed Inter-Departmental Conference

on the registration of ships owned by Companies having their

principal place of business at a Treaty Port in China I am

directed by Secretary Sir E. Grey to suggest the 8th

November, 1913, at 2 p.m. as a suitable time for the

meeting, and would be glad to learn whether this date will

be convenient to the Colonial Office.
